Hailing from New York City, Exit 8 is best described as explosive, live, catchy, melodic and talented. THE SOUND
Exit 8’s musical influences, eclectic personalities and incredible passion for the songs they write and play, define the band’s soul. They truly have an all or nothing approach to creating music. It was mid 2002 when singer & songwriter Mark Stancato started working on a three song demo with music veteran and producer Godfrey Diamond (Aerosmith, Lou Reed). After sifting through twelve songs of rainy days, lost love, and more lost love it was clear that Mark’s first professionally produced demo was going to be ballad centered. However, as the band’s sound developed so has the song writing. Exit 8’s sound has evolved from power ballads to power rock. Their persistent determination to write and record has caught the attention of the underground music scene and fans across the country.
